Julianne Meggs Stokes, Esq.

Julianne has extensive experience in the dissolution of complex marital estates and the resolution of high conflict custody cases. In the courtroom, she has established a reputation for delivering highly effective litigation strategies. While Julianne is a zealous advocate for each of her clients, she prides herself on managing each client’s expectations, remaining results-focused, and being a good steward of her clients’ financial resources. As a certified Family Court mediator, she excels at helping families achieve their objectives while avoiding the expense and emotional toll of protracted litigation. She is the moderator and course planner for the South Carolina Bar’s annual Guardian ad Litem seminar, which focuses on the advocacy and protection of vulnerable children across the state.

Julianne has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star for multiple years in the area of family law. She has also been featured in Charleston Business Magazine as well as Legal Elite of the Lowcountry, and she appeared on CourtTV in October 2021. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar (Family Law Section), Charleston County Bar, and the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. She also serves on the South Carolina Fee Disputes Resolution Board.

After graduating with honors from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, Julianne received her J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2006. In keeping with her alma mater’s motto, dum vivimus servimus (“while we live we serve”), Julianne is a past Trustee and current Ruling Elder at James Island Presbyterian Church, where she also teaches Confirmation class. She previously served on the Board of Directors for James Island Charter High School.


Ashley N. Rummell, Esq.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Ashley attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she earned her bachelor’s degree, majoring in Criminology and pre-law with a minor in Political Science. After graduating magna cum laude, and receiving her bachelor’s degree, Ashley continued her education and received her J.D. from Charleston School of Law in 2020.

Since receiving her J.D., Ashley has mainly focused her practice on Family law, Probate, and Estate planning. In these areas, Ashley takes a highly client-centered approach which enables her to fully understand what is best and needed for each family in more than one aspect.

Ashley is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division, and the Charleston County Bar. Outside of work, you can find Ashley on the golf course or at the beach.
