Mediation

Mediation is one piece of “alternative dispute resolution” (methods of resolving your conflict outside of court). During a mediation, the parties negotiate to reach an agreement, while the mediator acts as a third party neutral to facilitate the process. Julianne Stokes is a certified family court mediator, and she can help you resolve your dispute(s) in an informal, comfortable setting. Mediation allows the parties to maintain control over the process while also saving time and money.

Wills and Powers of Attorney

It is important to have an experienced attorney draft your will and estate planning documents. Many people use a DIY will or a will form found online, but those forms typically those leave out necessary legal clauses. The end result is that often times the will is invalid under South Carolina law. Ensure your family is not burdened during an already difficult time by drafting and executing the appropriate legal documents. We can also assist with other estate planning documents, such as a Health Care Power of Attorney or a General Durable Power of Attorney.

Trusts

Individuals have different needs during the estate planning process. We will seamlessly determine what is needed based on your unique circumstances and the best long term plan for you and your family. A living trust may help your family and protect your assets. Trusts are often difficult to establish and understand. We take pride in making this complex process easier.
